Former President Donald Trump is getting ready to do a lot more campaign-related travel ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, according to a senior adviser.
Corey Lewandowski, who previously worked as Trump's campaign manager, said the former president is preparing to relocate to his Florida estate at Mar-a-Lago, which will be his political base as he campaigns and meets with candidates heading into the midterm elections. Trump has spent the last several months living at his property in Bedminster, New Jersey.
"The season is starting to open down there," Lewandowski told Fox News. "You are going to see a complete rush of candidates going down to the Mar-a-Lago area to do fundraising, to be near the president, to talk to him, to get his advice and counsel."
"You're going to see Donald Trump on the road on a much more regular basis," he said.
