Coronavirus Cases Smash Records In U.S. After Biden Promised To ‘Shut Down The Virus’

The U.S. set a new record this week for the average number of daily coronavirus cases recorded in the country, which comes nearly a year into Democrat President Joe Biden’s first year in office.

The new record for the seven-day average of coronavirus cases comes after the U.S. set a record earlier this week for a single day high of coronavirus cases recorded in a single day.

“Wednesday’s seven-day average of new daily cases, 301,000, was also a record, compared with 267,000 the day before,” The New York Times reported. “In the past week, more than two million cases have been reported nationally, and 15 states and territories reported more cases than in any other seven-day period.”

The news comes after Biden repeatedly pledged while on the campaign trail that he would “shut down the virus.” More Americans have now died on Biden’s watch than died under former President Donald Trump.
