President-elect Donald Trump announced on Saturday night that he has named Richard Grenell to serve as his Presidential Envoy for Special Missions.
Grenell served in Trump’s first administration in several capacities. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, as Trump’s Presidential Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Negotiations, and as the head of the Office of Director of National Intelligence, according to The Daily Wire.
The job is a high-ranking diplomatic position that often deals with sensitive and high-priority foreign policy issues.
“Ric will work in some of the hottest spots around the World, including Venezuela and North Korea,” Trump said in a statement.
