Hunter Biden China Photos Emerge After Joe Biden Pardons Son

Photos have emerged of Hunter Biden meeting with President Xi Jinping and Chinese officials during the Obama-Biden administration.

Newsweek has contacted the White House, the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Trump transition team for comment via email.

Why It Matters

Earlier this year, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, was convicted of illegally obtaining a firearm and failing to pay over $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019. Despite having previously pledged not to use the vast powers of the presidency to benefit his family, President Biden granted Hunter a full and unconditional pardon on December 1.

The pardon also covers any other "offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024."
